On 25-29 March, 2012 the Altaiskiy Biosphere Reserve welcomed a military-patriotic cadet gathering of the
Barnaul initial flight training board school within the framework of the
Warrior’s Path project initiated by the Teletskaya school of youth ecotourism “Guardians of the Lake”.
Ten first- and second-year cadets under the supervision of their teachers – Konstantin Pershin and Valeriy Bondarev - came to the Sacred Altyn-Kol shores to soak up its vigor and wisdom and plunge into the pristine beauty of their motherland. In the course of their stay in Yailu settlement, the central manor of the Altaiskiy Reserve, cadets got acquainted with the Supervision and Inspection Department and specifics of its service, key research and environmental activity in the Reserve, natural and cultural sites of Lake Teletskoye. Special emphasis was laid on psychophysical training and healthy lifestyle-centered activity: daily multi-mile walks along the Lake’s shores, cleaning the place for the summer field camp, volunteer activity, traditional hot Russian banya with the Teleskoye Lake plunge pool and other events contributing to the build-up of a harmoniously developed personality – a true Russian Army officer, defender and guardian of his motherland.
The last day of prospective military airmen’s stay in the Altaiskiy Reserve coincided with the arrival of a team of military-patriotic young seamen club “Nord-Ost” from Novosibirsk. Flakes of fire on the shore of Lake Teletskoye merged with the Milky Way to the guitar accompaniment and cadets’ songs glorifying their senior comrades’ exploit in the Northern Caucasus. Off flew the song carried by the flakes to the sky above the Sacred Altyn-Kol to reach the ones it was devoted to…
